Miley uses Casey Anthony Verdict for Gay Marriage Statement

Miley Cyrus just tweeted about the Casey Anthony verdict in an effort to make a larger political statement.

The singer/actress wrote, “You know the world is skewed when people get away with murdering children but we can’t get gay marriage legalized in the state of California.”

Although the two subjects technically have little in common, Cyrus is trying to make a broader comment about what shouldn’t and should be allowed under the law.

Cryus joins a list of other celebs, including Kim and Khloe Kardashian, Tori Spelling, and Mandy Moore, who were upset that Anthony was found not guilty of murdering her 2-year-old daughter Caylee.

Miley Cyrus Gets More Good On

Miley Cyrus waves to photographers as she leaves the Witches Cauldron after having lunch in Subiaco, Perth, Australia on Friday afternoon (July 1).

The 18-year-old entertainer opened up in a new video for Get Ur Good On in a brand-new vid.

“The mission of the foundation… is [for] kids to encourage other kids not to spend time putting each other down, but to come together and meet through this, and for it not to be about anything else but love and the passion of doing good,” she shared.

Miley continued, “You can do anything [on the site] that inspires you, it’s what you want to change and what you want to do. It’s kids making their opinions matter and getting out there and changing the world.”

Concert Tour Update, New twitter update, Pictures, New Single Update

Miley Cyrus Readying International Tour - Miley Cyrus is ready to take her music back on the road. The teen superstar is in the planning process for a full-scale international tour, E! News confirms. Miley will kick off the tour on April 29 at Estadio Olímpico Atahualpa in Quito, Ecuador. Then she will take the show to Lima, Peru, at Explanada del Monumental, on May 1. The singer/actress, who has already begun a workout regime to prep for the tour, is set to announce more dates soon. There are no immediate plans for her to play shows in the United States. "Miley has a huge fanbase worldwide," a source told E! News. "She's pumped that her schedule has opened up and allowed her to perform for fans abroad." Cyrus has been meeting with lots of music producers recently. Last week she met with "Party in the U.S.A." producer Dr. Luke. Sources tell MTV News that Miley is interested in writing more for other artists. Source: MTV News
