Miley Cyrus just tweeted about the Casey Anthony verdict in an effort to make a larger political statement.
The singer/actress wrote, “You know the world is skewed when people get away with murdering children but we can’t get gay marriage legalized in the state of California.”
Although the two subjects technically have little in common, Cyrus is trying to make a broader comment about what shouldn’t and should be allowed under the law.
Cryus joins a list of other celebs, including Kim and Khloe Kardashian, Tori Spelling, and Mandy Moore, who were upset that Anthony was found not guilty of murdering her 2-year-old daughter Caylee.
Miley Cyrus waves to photographers as she leaves the Witches Cauldron after having lunch in Subiaco, Perth, Australia on Friday afternoon (July 1).
The 18-year-old entertainer opened up in a new video for Get Ur Good On in a brand-new vid.
“The mission of the foundation… is [for] kids to encourage other kids not to spend time putting each other down, but to come together and meet through this, and for it not to be about anything else but love and the passion of doing good,” she shared.
Miley continued, “You can do anything [on the site] that inspires you, it’s what you want to change and what you want to do. It’s kids making their opinions matter and getting out there and changing the world.”

Miley Cyrus' "Every Rose Has Its Thorn" Will Finally Be Released as Single, Says Bret Michaels -
Miley Cyrus' rose still may bloom after all.
Back in October, Bret Michaels told me that the teen queen's much buzzed-about cover of Poison's "Every Rose Has Its Thorn" would be the second single released off her then new album Can't Be Tamed.
Then the celeb tabloids came along and ruined everything by claiming that Michaels was having an affair with Cyrus' mom, Tish.
However, I'm happy to report that...
Michaels just told me that "Every Rose" will likely be released later this year.
"The record label was supposed have to this huge humongous release of 'Every Rose,'" the rocker said. "It was going to be Miley's next-step song, but because of that, they stepped back.
"It really bummed me out," he said. "I worked hard on that."
